It was my hair that caught your eyes
And eventually led to my demise
It's no wonder I wanted it cut off
Knowing at one time it got you off
I'll find a man who won't need my hair
To keep his attention clear and here
He'll want my soul
and body whole
But I sadly loved the type
Always looking for a body ripe
To get to know and date
So that he could end it all with rape
It was the Indians many moons ago
Who held a myth we all should know
As normal as the ocean tide
When someone that you loved did die
you took a blade to your hair and it's shiny length
And cut it off to reveal your strength
After many days pass your hair will grow long once more
But now you will be wiser and stronger than ever before
