Throughout the entire experience of my mysterious illness I have taken anti-seizure meds, sleep meds, diuretics, vitamins and enough antidepressants to make a camp full of Auschwitz prisoners happy for a day.
I drew the line when I went to an Endocrinologist last week and she requested that I take home a gallon container and pee in it for 24 hours. That wasn’t so bad except for the stipulation that I must keep the container in the fridge when I wasn’t busy pissing in it. Really? (insert bulging eyes here).
I live with a man who can’t stand to open the fridge when I buy any cultured dairy products without gagging. Try explaining to him that the yellow liquid in the fridge isn’t lemonade. I came home and promptly threw out the gallon and made an appointment with a holistic doctor.
I am feeling empowered.
And very happy that my urine is going to end up in the toilet tonight and not nuzzled between left over grilled chicken and cheddar cheese.
*Disclaimer*- I am still a huge supporter of peeing in a cup. Please do not boycott urinating in containers on the basis of the feelings that this blog has evoked.

I have been boycotting urine containers for years, and so rest assured, your story was not the basis for this action. Still, though, perhaps NOT telling him it isn't lemonade would be the better course... whatever will be, will be.
That's classy. I think I'm going to start peeing in those big containers you use for lemonade and keeping it in my fridge. *crosses fingers* One day I'll get someone. ;-)
